The Inle Speaks Community Skills Development Centeris proud to celebrate its HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE) training center on 11 October 2015 to help and support the potential entrepreneurs in Nyaung Shwe township, Shan State. The e-learning center is implemented through the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Advancement and Development through Entrepreneurship Programs and Training (USAID ADEPT) program with the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. ADEPT is a three-year program that improves the success of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through information and communication technology (ICT)-led education programs.

This training center will encourage and educate promising entrepreneurs from the Inle Lake region, providing real-world IT and business skills needed to startup or grow their business.

“We’revery excited about the event” said U Sai Win, the Director of Inle Speaks.”This area has many opportunities for entrepreneurs and this program provides practical help for them.” KoNyi Zaw, Program Manager for Environmental Programs at Inle Speaks added, “We introduced some of our tourism colleagues to these programs during the summer ESL program, and they found them really helpful.”

The Inle Speaks Center is a program of Partnership for Change, a Norwegian organization supporting the development of sustainable communities globally. Partnership for Change and Inle Speaks provide programs to build business and leadership skills in Yangon and the Inle region.
